L'An mil huit cent soixante-dix-sept, le six du mois de mars a
quatre heures du soir, pardevant Nous, jean Baptiste Joseph
LEDOUX, Echevin et officier de la commune de Jumet, province de
Hainaut, ont comparu Joseph HENRY, agent de police age de
vingt-six ans et Elie LAMBERT, employe de vingt-trois ans,
domicilies a Jumet, lesquels nous ont declare que Jean Joseph
LACASSAIGNE, houilleur, age de trente-cinq ans et cinq mois, ne et
domicilie a Courcelles, fils de feu Auguste LACASSAIGNE et de
vivante Victoire SPIECE, veuf en premiere noces de Philomene
MICHAUX, epoux en secondes noces d'Octavie DUPONT est decede le
quatre courant a huit heures du soir au hameau de Sart Les Moines,
sentier du canal, section deuxieme et ont les comparant signes
avec Nous apres lecture , le present acte

In the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, on
the sixth of March at four o'clock in the afternoon, before Us,
Jean Baptiste Joseph LEDOUX, Assistant-Mayor, and clerk of the
town of Jumet, Province of Hainaut, caem Joseph HENRY, policeman,
twenty-six y old, and ELie LAMBERT, employee, twenty-three y old,
who told me that Jean Joseph LACASSAIGNE, miner, 35y 5m old, born
and living in Courcelles, son of the late Auguste LACASSAIGNE and
of the living Victoire SPIECE widower in first marriage of
Philomene MICHAUX and present husband of Octavie DUPONT, died on
the fourth of this month at eight o'clock at night, in the hmalet
of Sart lez Moines, Sentier du Canal, second section, and the
witnesses signed after the reading of the present document.
